Who are we?
West Wirral Walks is a guided walking business run by two friends, David Porter and Paul Wakeham. The business adopts a small, family centred approach, giving it's customers the opportunity to walk and experience the real Wirral, stay in non-chain accommodation and dine in quite stunning locations.
To support other small businesses, David's wife (where possible) sources local produce for her picnic lunches and in all her baking uses free range eggs from a local farm (see gallery). The biscuits and flapjacks you eat on the Morning Stroll are all prepared at home using these suppliers. Keeping it in the family, David's mother bakes all the scones at home, out in Meols.
For those taking the Weekend Walker, Group or Corporate package, West Wirral Walks is proud to be associated with the 'thatch' who will provide you with a first-class lunch in tranquil surroundings. This village pub continues to support 'village life' and fits in perfectly with our business ideal.
West Wirral Walks strives to be an inclusive business and as such offers guided walks for customers with disabilities, ensuring many of our routes cater for people who need flat, almost stile free walking. We offer guided walks for children, young people and families, and continually strive to support the most vulnerable groups in our communities with subsidised costings and special offers.
West Wirral Walks is a truly inclusive business, one that works hard to involve all groups in our society.
We look forward to welcoming you.
