1. Booking Information

Prior to booking, please contact West Wirral Walks to check dates and availability of accommodation. This is best done by email or telephone. We advise booking the Walk and Stay packages as early as possible, as these options are particularly popular. With confirmation of your booking you will receive detailed information of how to reach your accommodation, meeting times and venues, as well as recommendations on clothing and footwear.

2. Payment
Payment can be made directly into our business account using the Paypal method offered on the booking page. It is strongly advised that prior to your booking an email is sent to West Wirral Walks, checking availability of the package you have decided to choose. We aim to reply within 24 hours to all emails but this is not a guarantee.

Cheques are accepted and should be made payable to West Wirral Walks. These must have cleared 72 hours prior to your arrival. For the Morning Stroll options, 48 hours is sufficient.

4. Cancellations and Changes

If you do have to cancel your walk please let us know as soon as possible as we may have a waiting list. If we are able to fill your place we will refund your balance, otherwise the following rates will apply:

More than 8 weeks before the walk - 100% of the balance returned

More than 4 weeks before the walk - 50% of the balance returned

Less than 4 weeks before the walk - nil balance returned

We reserve the right to change walks, guides or itineraries in light of prevailing weather or other safety considerations. Being on foot in outdoor terrain can be hazardous and by the very nature of walking in outdoor areas, participants must accept a certain element of risk. In the interest of safety, you must agree to abide by the decisions of your Guide and (or) Walk Leader who have considerable experience walking and leading large groups and as such are also extremely familiar with the area and terrain.

West Wirral Walks reserves the right to make changes to a walking package after a booking has been confirmed or cancel a confirmed booking. Under these circumstances you will have the following options:-

i) Accept the changes to the walk

ii) Cancel and receive a full refund of all monies paid

West Wirral Walks shall not be liable for any consequential loss or damage arising from the cancellation, interruption, delay or alteration of or to any tour.

5. Force Majeure

West Wirral Walks will be under no obligation or liability for any cancellation, interruption, delay or alteration of or to any tour caused by act or threat of war (whether declared or not), riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, discharge dispersal release or escape of pollutants, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, sickness, bad weather, technical or transportation problems, closure of stations, ports and airports, cancellation or changes of schedules by railways, ferry companies, air or bus lines or any other circumstances beyond our control amounting to force majeure and/or Act of God.

6. Complaints

In the unlikely event that you have any reason to complain or experience any problems with your walking package, you should contact our office immediately and we will do our best to resolve the problem straight away. Should it not be possible to resolve your complaint immediately, you should write to us, giving full details, within 14 days of the conclusion of your walk.

7. Insurance

West Wirral Walks accepts no liability or obligation for any death, illness or injury or loss of or damage to baggage or personal property caused to or suffered by you in relation to your walk. Any medical condition or medication being taken that may affect your health or ability must be notified to West Wirral Walks in advance and in writing and must be accompanied by a doctor�s certificate as to fitness. You are strongly advised to obtain adequate insurance cover for all eventualities connected with your walk.
